When you look in the mirror, what do you see? More specifically, who do you see? Initially, we only see our own reflection, but upon closer inspection, we may notice traits that resemble our mother's chin or our father's nose. If we delve deeper, we may uncover feelings such as pain, joy, strength, or indifference. These characteristics are influenced by our life experiences, both positive and negative.

In my book, PERCEPTION, I explore the concept that we often lack self-awareness until we are faced with harsh truths. Similarly, Mia Ellis confronts a difficult reality about her father, causing her to reassess her long-standing resentment towards him.

How well do we truly know ourselves? The key lies in our understanding of those closest to us.
